I just got finished designing a subwoofer box for the back of my FD that is completely custom fit to the hatch area. It will be made of 3/4" MDF and has an interior volume of 2.98 cubic feet w/o the sub. It will have enough room to hold up to 4 regular 10's (that would be a tight fit). I will be putting a single 15 Kicker Solo-Baric L7 (square sub). I have made up all the plans on my computer and would like to sell the plans if anyone is interested. I will post pics of it when I have built it and installed the sub (will also post pics of cardboard model tomm.). It took forever to design this box and get all the dimensions right.

 

Im not interested in purchasing one, but id definately like to see your plans.

 

Ok just finished up the cardboard version of the box, the "mockbox" as I like to call it. It is damn big. And has enough clearance between the hatch. I am very happy with it and am gonna build the real thing sometime next week. I just have to make it .5 inch narrower at the back of the box and .75 inch narrower at the middle point. Heres a pic.
