Wiring an s5 for an aftermarket stereo.. help

Im puttin a clarion deck in my car that i have had sitting around for a while...are there any adapters that i can just buy to hook into my stock harness? if so where can i get them..

Do i have to rewire all the speakers? how do i do that? any help would be great.. thanks

i think you have to rewire the speakers in order to bypass the stock amps. you should be able to just buy a wiring harness adapter from almost any electronics place or car audio joint.

Don't waste your money on adaptor harnesses, they're totally unnecessary. The required wiring is very simple, and only involves terminating the head unit's wires with male spade terminals and plugging them into the factory plugs. Consult the wiring diagrams in the FSM for the wire colours or do a search, as this has been posted many times before.

Don't bother bypassing the factory amps, it's easier just to just run new wires to the speakers.

The only complication is the antenna, which requires a switched groung instead of the head unit's switched power. Again this has been covered many times, so search for the wiring diagram I've posted before.
