Question Windshield bottom trim refurbishing...

The black plastic trim located at the base of the windshield on my car is fading in different areas and the rubber molding that finishes the edge is not staying put under the trim.

Besides outright replacement, anyone have an elegant solution to this?

Paint the plastic trim with appropriate paint?

Possible generic replacement for the thin rubber molding?

Thanks in advance,
David

I have the same problem and mine looks like **** too. The best thing to do is remove the wiper arms and hood cowl, which is extremely easy to remove and spray paint it black.

Good luck

I've used bumper paint on all my cars in the past. Looks original and holds up nicely. Napa will carry some.
