will this work?

i saw this shifter and i really like it. however its from an 02 svt mustang. are those 5 or 6 speeds...i cant tell from the picture. also, will it actually even fit?

That looks like it screws on (instead of using the little allen screws). If so, the stock thread size is 10 X 1.25mm. If it's the same size, it will work.

Do you know what that is in inches? I found a website with a shifter that I wanted that's "tapped for 3/8"-24 threaded". I thought most shifters were universally threaded these days? Anyhow, just curious if 3/8"- 24 would work or if you can rethread it somehow or adapt it? Thanks, -Joe

btw racerfoo - from what I can see that is a 6-speed shifter...
