will this work?

to help prevent chips on fiberglass front bumpers could you apply a couple layers of latex house paint before painting the bumper? latex paint has some flex in it so i'd think it would help absorb some of the impact of rocks and things that would normally chip the paint. i was thinking of applying primer, two coats of latex house paint, primer again and then the normal paint and clearcoat. would there be any problems w/ the latex paint peeling or w/ the paint being too thick because i have all these extra coats?

Put the flex additive in the color and the clear coat. Check at the auto paint supply store.
