Can anybody tell me what I can do to make my peice of $HIT stock CD player work in my FD



or do i drive down the road at 100mph and throw it out the window

 

chuck it and get an aftermarket cd player.

 

What's wrong with it? Try a wet lens cleaner.

 

the damn thing has a mind of its own
will not ship through songs and will eject the cd out for no reason

 

Don't forget, the "damn things" are 8-10 years old and have lived a hard life with the FD suspension and heat.

Time to get an aftermarket unit.

 

As said above Drive down the road an throw it out the window. Most aftermarket decks are much better than the stock anyways(they just don't look... stock )

but even the CD player in my 93 J30 does wierd things, too. It sometimes doesnt want to play certain CDs for no reason when they are perfectly fine. Maybe it was an early 90s thing

I usually have problem w/ 'burned' CD's. At first I thought the CD was all scratched up or something, but no...it's just the crappy/old factory CD player...

 

Mine just doesn't read them.

It takes the CD makes, makes funny noises, and than spits it out.

 

does it spit the cd out when u turn the car on......decks do that when u have the power running to where the constant should be.....seriously though.....go out and spend a couple of hundred on a new deck......i ******* hooked up my 2 front speakers yesterday and i must have messed something up cause now the deck shuts of when i unplug the rca cables going to the amp, thats messed up .......

 

the cd player in my uncles 95 taurus wont play dr. dres voice. it does everything fine, but no matter what, any song, and cd, it doesnt play dres voice. it plays the rest of the song fine, though, lol

 

Thought it was just me, I have like 800 cd's and the damm thing will only play less than half of what I own. Tried cleaning it, cleaning my cd's.Looks like its time for a aftermarket . Any suggestions on some that match the stock interior ?

 

The design of cd player in the FD actually dates to the mid 80's - it is almost identical to the one that Mazda put in the Second Gens. This makes it an Antique by CD standards
