Unhappy Who sells a GTC bumper that fits??

The fitment of my new "raceonusa" gtc bumper is laughable at best. I'm hoping they refund my $$ as it was listed as being one of their "hiflex" bumpers, but it is just plain old stiff frp. I know, this is what I get for being cheap and shopping on ebay. So where can I find a good fitting replica now that rotary extreme is closed?

I don't believe ShineAuto makes a GTC. Your stuck with companies selling sub-par bodykits unfortunately.

Yeah, it would be nice if shine made one. I am considering their feed 2r, but I already ordered the gtc lenses.

I will post up some pics of the bumper when I get home tomorrow night. It does not follow the contour of the hood and sits about a half inch lower than the hood when closed. Each side where it mates to the fenders is also far from acceptable. If there was any flex at all in the bumper it may have been salvageable.

i've had personal experiences with two companies. i bought my first bumper from pre-auto. at the time, they did not make the bumper themselves and just ordered through a different company. my body shop could not get the bumper to fit properly and i ended getting rid of it. i bought a second from pettit and it fit with no issues. both bumpers are fiberglass. although pre-auto's bumper was cheaper i think it was worth the extra i paid for the pettit bumper.

I can't believe that people haven't learned by now where the reputable sources are for parts by now

I had a 99 plateless from raceon that fit pretty well and a friend with one of their "hiflex" bumpers on his 240 that also fits nicely, so I figured I would give it a shot.

Call me cheap, but I will not pay over $1800 for the real gtc bumper as it is listed for on the site "DCUPS" posted. I like the gtc, but not that much!

All it takes is a quick search on the interior/exterior/audio section of the forum. You can read all the horror stories of cheap crappy bumpers from raceon or whatnot or how good company x's replica fits. Either way, I still see a lot of people who buy a lot of "crap" on the market, be it shitty replicas of body kits, e-bay turbo kits, obx manifolds, etc...

I am not and you certainly aren't either. But you're right in that the vast majority of people are. Such a shame

Of course I'm being slightly sarcastic, but the same affliction that occurred with new FC owners oh, about five years ago, finally hit with this newest batch of FD owners.

Plus, since they're the vocal majority on the various boards these days they just keep spouting the same misinformation. Wonderful.

Meanwhile, the last of us selling our genuine/authentic/expensive parts are screwed since they'll only buy cheap *** inferior knockoffs.
