Who Here Does Custom Carbon Fiber Work?

Hey Guys,
I have seen posts in the past where folks are doing custom carbon fiber jobbies...Can you point me to them? This is totally unrelated to car parts.

Thanks,
David

Trying to start a line of my own freediving fins...That would be exactly or just like these

http://www.c4carbon.com/en/sub/pinne.htm

Want to just market a different brand...

They have different models with different stiffnesses...

Sure someone here will be able to mimik this...

I can even send one blade to work from.

Very interesting.. It has amazing flex to it.. They must use some other material than epoxy resin.

Ture, but i'm sure it can't be that difficult to figure out especially if they work with carbon...

Trying to start a whole line of freediving gear...

Apnea Goggles which we already produce http://www.learnfreediving.com/store/index.asp

Fins (this is what the carbon work is for)

Stretch Weight Belts (Waiting on material)

Nose Clips (R&D...Just need to find a good source to mold small plastic pieces)

The good thing is that both me and my training partner (and trainer) have a reputable name in freediving which helps alot with marketing them...

It's not so much faster...but deeper...my last WR was 213ft no fins...Took 2 min & 14 seconds...With fins the descent speed would be the same (few seconds shorter) but I would have hacked off about 20 seconds from the ascent. An additional 20 - 25 seconds underwater for descent/ascent would work out to be about 265 ft in the same 2 min & 14 sec...

But if you are asking, what's the deepest I can go with fins...75m /246ft is the deepest I have gone up to now...with fins and it was easy...well, easy meaning about a 5 out of 10...10 being I blackout...Beginning of summer I am doing 75m without fins...Should be interesting.

If y'all are interested you can see some videos of my records at www.ApneaBlue.com

Now really, there are carbon fiber people on this forum...Where are you!?

Why don't you pm the guy that used to have the Yellow and Purple FD. He did excellent carbon fiber work. I'm sure someone can give you his name he was important.

I almost passed out watching the video
Any tips for increasing the time without oxygen?

Here's a good place to start...

http://www.divingfree.com/ask/ask02.htm

Then if you feel like you've outgrown that then you can do online personalized training with my trainer.

http://www.learnfreediving.com/training.asp

Still no one coming forward on the carbon fiber subject.

Hmmmm.

wow,,thats really something to be proud of, and no easy feet(feat) lol get-it ?.
75 meters, thats alot of presure. what do you do to slow down your heart rate?
a true thrill seeker i would say.. i'm posting because i play with composites. the cloth is a re-inforcement, carbon fibre, carbon kevlar, sea glass, chopped strand, etc
i don't think resin is it, but more rubber/teflon flexable type material. and also consider if you want the fins to float or sink. i didn't check the link but i'm thinking the 'blades' on the fins are long.. second nature free diving fins..hows that for a name ? Lol guess i didn't help much. be carefull.

His over 2 min is while exerting himself, just sitting there David can hold his breath 5-6 minutes. Static and Dynamic are how they are refered to. Is your 1min 15 static or dynamic? I'm working on the same stuff, there's a program out there for training that has you do a series of holds with decreasing rest times, you can program the times.

DL them here. http://www.freediver.co.uk/

It's under downloads.

Mark no longer does CF work.. I've met him last oct.. but I've heard it wasn't worth his time..

Far as your fin.. find out what kind of resin they use.. It might be just clear plastic/rubber with CF inside.. No resin I know that car people use could flex like that!
