got to go with the cd-500 if you want mp3s.
(which, to me, is sacrilege. why buy a top of the line audiophile deck and play substandard audio files.) = 2 cents
as far as buying, they used to be in a few places, now only it seems on ebay (just did a search, and it's not there anymore).
I'm thinking nak maybe isn't nak anymore. been hearing about issues with quality control. So if you find one, let me know.

A website to go to: http://www.nakamichi.com/flash.html
They have a picture in green. I have seen it in blue backlighting as well.
The pdf & printer friendly options on the cd-500 don't seem to work right now though

If you find a nakamichi deck that you like you should buy it. I heard that the company is going through some major changes right now but I'm not sure exactly what it is. I've been trying to get the brand in my shop but right now I am waiting because of that.
