Where to buy seats?
Hey guys,
Amongst some other things, I've been considering buying some new seats. My car is just a fun car for me, I don't race it (and in fact it isn't drivable at the moment), so I don't need anything in particular one way or the other. I would like safe seats, so something FIA approved would be nice, but isn't strictly necessary. For example, I've been considering Bride Gias or Stradias.
In any case, my question isn't about what seats to get, but where to get seats. They seem like a heavy duty item to try and ship from Japan, let alone within the US. Also, I'm little concerned about getting knock-offs being sold as the real thing. Anyone have any particularly good or bad experiences with any online or local vendors regarding seats?

actually was wondering the same thing myself... or is it better or less expensive to recover the existing seats? NOT seat covers, not racing seats. just a good comfortable stylish seat.

Some reasonably priced seats here:

Keep in mind that FIA cert means fixed back seat. If you don't race or track the car, I would suggest is not worrying about FIA certification. There are several reputable sites online:

There are several other places, just do a few searches.

I bought my Brides from Works Concepts, a vendor here on 7Club. His prices were very competitive and he was knowledgeable on what would and would not fit in the FD. His price included shipping from Japan and they arrived fairly quickly.
I also was leery of knockoffs, but he promised me that they were the real thing, and they were.
Good luck in your search.
