what's a good light kit?
I am looking to buy a light kit, but don't want to spend 1500 on it. Does anyone have some pics of their car with an after market light kit on it.

Very good illumination and $850. Excellent illumination with HIDs. There are pics, see for yourself.

An FD just doesn't look right without pop-ups to me...

For the most part, I'm with Mahjik on this one, but that's the first time I've seen those Rotary Extreme ones. Those look pretty nice. Wonder how they'd look on a color other than black, they've got an awefully big black strip going around. Oh, and go back and look at them from the top view, it doesn't really look like it fits that well... wonder if they would all fit like that, or if that's just the prototype and was fixed before manufacturing.

the pop up option looks nice but my fiberglass pop ups have cracks, and I would just like to get rid of them.

Yeah, the black strip is rather large, and the fit and finish doesn't look perfect.

Chuck's done a great job on his light kit. From the pictures I've seen of it so far, it's very nice looking. For a sleek light kit it has very impressive lighting too.
Although it's not done yet, I'm working on a pop-up light kit. They use the same lights that Chuck's kit uses. I haven't had any time recently to work on them, but I should very soon. I'm thinking 2 more good full days and they'll be ready for the machine shop. Maybe next week..... Here's a very early picture of them.

i have the cwest kit on mine, they were 1200 dollars......... the light is pretty nice, but i didnt realize that the cover on the light is slightly bubbled up, it is pretty cool though........ the base is carbon fiber, they are the same ones on the upperleft side of the rotary extreme web page

rx7even i hope your still mking those with a carbon fiber surround, i think this will make it stand out as far as looks. of course lighting is important, so how about an hid set up. i know all of this is something you were planning, but are they still part of the plan.

If you look closely at Chuck's (RotaryExtreme), it is essentially the same as the RE kit. I think that is what Chuck based his on. He has built off that and provided (probably) the best projection of anything available (when you look at the HID option).
I seem to remember Chuck indicating that the black strip across the covers could be changed (color).
Additionally, he makes the pod portion in fiberglass or CF. With what he is offering, NO ONE should ever purchase another RE kit. They are more expensive and light very poorly.

I really like the look of the rotary extreme kit. Does anyone know if you have to hack up your frame to fit it in and if you can go back to stock? I would love to see the rx7even kit when done as well.
