Whats a good exhaust for the FD?

I am currently looking for an exhaust thats single tip, prefer big muffler, but not too huge, sounds good and produce pretty decent hp. Any ideas will be great, thanks

Racing beat dual. There is one for sale. The single tip is also very nice. Racing beat makes great products. Fritz Flynn has both a dual and single tip for sale. Check it out.

well for largest pipeing, ie most flow, you have the hks titanium at 4" ( over $1000), than the apexi gt spec at 3.75" and the greddy titanium is a little smaller than the apexi. I have the apexi gt spec, custom 4"inch piping, and with the 4" piping it got rid of the ricey raspy sound that was associated with the regular gt spec. You should of seen the face on the guy when i asked for four inch piping, anyways its still pretty damn loud with stock midpipe and aftermarket dp and intake. I traded my apexi n1 duals for the gt spec, so I would say they can be had on these forums for 350 used, or new I think they are 500.

I run a GReddy (I think it is the SP?) exhaust and it has a great sound to it. It is a bit deeper in tine than other aftermarket exhausts that I have heard. The build quality is excellent as well.

I'm running the Greddy Ti exhaust. Very deep tone but it screams at WOT. Piping is big around 3.5 inches. The cannister is big, but it looks great with the back of the car. I'm very satisfied with it.

Thumbs up

I'm using a downpipe, midpipe, and A'pexi GT Spec. The car just screams and sounds like a beast. Outstanding setup if you are looking to increase power and have an extremely deep tone.

rear diffuser issue with exhaust

Sounds good, but i also have another question regarding my body kit. The issue is, i have having a GTC rear diffuser, which I am not sure how big it is, i will attach a pix of it, so maybe you guys can help me to choose a nice deep tone exhaust for my lovely 7 xD Thanks

I also heard that the Racing Beat dual tip is pretty nice, but I am more of a single tip person with big mufflers, but not too huge, and I am also thinking of the Greddy Ti Exhaust, heard some good things about it too. So any advice will be appreciated.

Just to let you know, the big exhausts (aka fart cannons) make the 7 sound more weedwackerish IMO. The titaniums exhausts are an exception, I think those sound pretty nice but are expensive and I wouldn't personally run one unless I was using my car for the track only. I have the Racing Beat dual tip and it sounds awesome, probably the deepest sounding exhaust even though it isn't super loud, plus you get the close to stock look for the sleeper effect. Just all depends on what you like and how much you are willing to spend

I like the HKS CF Ti, but too much drone w/ a MP.

I wish we had something similar to the Taitec JGTC exhaust for the NSX. Hands down THE SEXIEST sounding exhaust I've EVER heard. LITERALLY sounds like a JGTC car. http://scienceofspeed.com/products/e...rallel%5FExit/

I have the apexi n1 exhaust on my car. I liked it when i 1st got it then after a while it got old. My best friend has the racingbeat dual system on his car, and i must say it sounds great. Its quiet on the highway at crusing speeds, but under heavy accelleration it gets LOUD. I mainly like the deep note. Go with the rb dual imo!

Steve you got a couple of pics of that exhaust? Im considering on changing out my PFS.

To the OP, the pfs is a good exhaust to, features a 4 inch round tip that looks stock to a normal person. Its a little loud but not as bad as those apexi's, 5zigen etc etc. Good exhaust if you want sound yet not the harassment from cops because it looks "race" like.

Blitz Nur Spec all the way. It looks like it should be the exhaust the car came with. Awesome fitment. Nice welds and a very deep tone. Noticeable hp gains. I love it.

This one is mine. All stainless with lasercut flange, gasflow welding and 3" straight through all home made. the tone is superdeep, you can talk in the car at any speed, sound goes down a bit when going full throttle,.

Just needs an end tip but that's for when I've made my mind up.

I love it and at 1/3 of the price of some HKS, Blitz or whatever stuff

hmm been hearing alot of good things of apexi n1, hks hi power and rb dual beat!!! come on guys, I cant get all three on my car LOLZ. I am considering the HKS hi power CF version xD . Also i am thinking of light consideration too, so if comparing from the three above, which would be lighter? HKS hi power CF version? Also which one is it thats only around 10 lbs and its all titanium? I also heard thats a good exhaust, but not sure the name of it. THanks

Have to get a new cat back also. Sorry to hijack your thread

I have the PFS catback and I was told its going to be restrictive with my T78 set up. I was torn between the Apexi GT spec for $500 and the Greddy RP Race-only Exhaust for $850. I already have the resonated midpipe for the rx7 store so I really don’t need the complete Greddy set up, it comes with a midpipe. Both cat backs are 3. 75 so other than sound whats the difference ? just price

Yep, I was thinking about that and the RB single tip instead of dual. =D Or maybe the HKS hi power like other members told me. These are the 3 that I am really considering.
