what are these wires?
Finally got the stock head unit out...one of the wires pulled out and broke, the other has a black rectangular head to it. Which one of these are the power cord and what is the other one for? Looked at the back of my new head unit and it only has a circular input for it.

Ok, the ground has a rectangle head...how do I make that into the round one that most head units use? Is there some sort of adapter? And as for the antenna wires...As you can tell they're not topped off...how do I work with that to connect it to a standard head unit that is using the rx7 radio harness ?

the antenna wire is the single wire with the rca plug looking end...it will plug into the round hole on the back of the cd player. The ground wire will come off the radio which you can wire into the harness, OR ground it to chassis (that is what i do on all my radios...direct chassis grounds are much better IMO) To make life easy go pick up a wiring harness from best buy or circuit city...plug that into the factory harness and then match up the colors from that to the colors of your cd player.

javen, you're totally missing what I'm saying bud. Ok ground wire, no problem I'll ground that. The first wire in the picture, it didn't have an rca plug...it pulled out (broke) off the stock head unit. How do I get the RCA looking connector attached to it?

went up to best buy and got some answers . apparently the two wires seperate are just to assist the stock unit with reception but with an aftermarket unit you only need one. I need a male to male extension to be able to hook it up to the aftermarket unit. it was a male to board connection that it came with (just connect directly to the board through a 2 pin connector)

is the black wire in the back of a head unit the ground? If so...how is it possible for a unit to run without the ground hooked up to something?

I called best buy and they haven't even heard of the male to male connector for intalling an aftermarket head unit. My antenna isn't working and I have the the same problem you do Revzempoe, so if you fixed your antenna can you further elaborate on it.

yeah poo, I got the antenna part fixed now no problem. View the first picture. you see that 2 wires become one. Where that insulation is, that's where the 2 antenna wires connect. Need a male for that. then, on the other end you need a male to connect to your head unit. I'll take more pictures tomorrow. I've double checked all wiring...still staic. I don't know.
