That was after a huge snow storm up here... first nice day in months when the snow was melting ... i was going through withdraws. Besides its sits in the garage most of the time and barely gets driven in the rain.

im in nothern VA too...and yes...i couldn't have described it any better..."withdrawal symptoms" lol

it really gets to me tho...cuz for like 6 months u got too much intermittent snow and sleet, so it just sits there...and the 6 months of clear we get here, well..most of those are spent in and out of the shop haha

k since we're on that topic...

i was checkin out some sites a cpl days ago, and i came across this site:
http://www.5starshine.com/

it was featured in some car magazine i believe..they claim that if u put this stuff on ur car, u wont have to wax ur car for years or somethin like that... that it lasts over 150 car washes...and any dirt that gets on it can be washed off w/ only water. im hopin someone knows if this stuff is legit, or it's a hoax...cuz if it's real, that would make keepin our black FDs clean SOOOO much easier...

thanx

That's teflon! It's DAMN hard to remove, which is why it lasts so long. If you have to repaint your car, you'll get fisheyes from the remnants.

Either when clean, or driving at night.

My two favorites are white and silver. There is NOTHING prettier than a white FD at night.

I couldn't own yellow car. Just couldn't do it

There was never a Montego Blue R1 or R2

Well, I've never heard of anything that easily removes teflon. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though.

Try this stuff.

http://www.properautocare.com/kla-16.html

On my car, if it's just collects dust from the car cover, I just rinse the car off and go for a drive to dry it. It doesn't waterspot like a typical wax does.

My FD is red, but have owned black also. They both look really nice if washed and wax a lot. However, both colors FADE/OXIDIZE easily. I recently bought a white car.. and it is practically maintance free. No water stains or fading. However, chrome on anything looks good. Preference in order...white, black, then red.

Stock Black

My FD was black, but it didn't seperate it from every other FD. Now it is Audi TT Grey (Grey w/ white-green pearl) now my car is different.

Northwest FD3S...that's def. very different.. very unique. i cant say i dont like it...but it'll take a lil while to get to love it =)

i think it's cuz it's a somewhat dull or flat color...in grays, i like more of a metalic look..like that veilside combat grey i think it's called..that's HOT

not trying to bust on your car, but your paint color makes the car look like it's primered...
