Is there any sort of type or style or actuator off another car I can use for the driver side. I am getting a remote start/alarm installed and I want to be able to use the key less entry. So I would have to get a power lock actuator installed in the door.
They do. I've got a guy looking for one right now for my alarm install. This another one of those "wtf did they do that?" items on the fd.
they make a universal you can mount in your door. i have one somewhere around here. dont use it now but i did on a previous 2nd gen for the drivers door for exactly this same purpose (aftermarket alarm)

how did it work.. the universal aftermarket ones i see are like 4 dollars.. Im scared it will brake after a week and I will have to take the door apart again.
The universal ones work fine, but do to the cables being flexible they might bend the lines... So I recommend using a Cable Lock Bracket Kit (DEI 524CL), but it will interfere with the map box, so you will have to modify (cut out) your map a bit so the bracket will clear.

I'd definitely like to see some photos. I found out the factory actuated for the left side is available...for $230! If anyone is interested it's at WWW.japanparts.com , part number 58-310Z.
On my 2nd gen I used an actuator from the pass side that I had modified. The bracket had to be cut and welded so that it would be a mirror image of the right side. It took me about ten minutes to do, but I have access to a band saw and welder. Everything on the door is already there ready to bolt it up. No other modifications are required.
I have done this to my car. The universal ones work fine, its been in my car for 5 years now with no problems. I didn't want to attach it to the cable so I attached the rod to a small spot right in front of where the cable ends and attaches to lock switch. The only thing I had to sacrifice was a small cut into my door bin to make the actuator fit. I also installed one for the trunk.

Ohh you strip away some of the insulation surrounding the cable, make sure you do not cut into the cable. The bracket was purchased, I believe the model name is Directed 524CL
Cable Lock Bracket Kit (DEI 524CL).
Also you will need to cut out a portion of the map pocket to clear the bracket. But with the bracket in place, it greatly reduces the play in the cable preventing it from getting bent.
