What to do (sleek headlight's or pop-ups)?
I just got back from HIN up in North Carolina. It was O.K; only one FD (LS1) was there. Well on the way back to South Carolina my drivers side head light cover decided to fly away. Well now I'm forced with a decision. Should I just get another Headlight Cover or jump on some sleek headlight's (the ones in the Group buy section https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-center-69/gb-evo-r-rx-7-sleek-headlight-kit-back-again-481791/)?
This would be an easy decision, but I found out last week I'm moving to Japan. So I'm going to be selling my 94 RX7 shortly. Please help me out with this one guys!
Oh, does anyone know where to buy the Drivers Side headlight cover just in case?

Oh, I forgot to ask... Will a potential buyer prefer the sleek headlight's or the stock pop-ups? Basically will it help me sell it faster if I got the sleek headlight's.
Off topic: I just took the car to the dyno and made 313hp @ 10psi on my TD06. I figure it would make way more once the boost was turned up and there was a good tune.

Well, since you're moving to Japan and deciding on selling your RX-7 shortly, would more sense to just get a headlight cover and spend less. Unless you're moving in a year and selling the FD then...the 1 year of enjoying the sleek-headlight wouldn't be bad.
I'm not for certain, but stock parts like headlight covers and among other things are usually available at Mazda dealerships or warehouses. I haven't ordered from Malloy Mazda before but you should try with www.mazdastuff.com. You will can supply the product number or ask them if they have what you need...they'll find it most likely. Or...you can try the classifieds here. Good luck.

Dyno graph
FDZero thanks. I will see the cost offset on buying the cover+paint vs the sleek headlights on that group buy.
Oh, the attachment is the dynoJet sheet I got. Correction on the Horsepower, it's 312.3hp. What's .7hp between friends!

Hey gcbutter, you were at the show? I was there too but I only talked to one other rotary guy and his is down for maint. Kinda cool seeing an LS1 FD in person, but still disappointing in a way.
My passenger side headlight cover flew off about a year ago so I know how you feel, haha. The first time it did it, it was about midnight I was coming home from work and I pulled over, got a flashlight and found it...and superglued whatever I needed to and put it back on. Second time it flew right under my buddie's truck tire.
So I guess you're in the military? What base? I was at Kadena on Okinawa for 3 years. Good luck on the decision.
For the record, I've ordered from Ray Crowe at Malloy several times, he's a good guy and he hooks up us members with a discount, but it'll still probably cost a lot. Oh, I just read your post about that, haha. Nevermind. It took me forever to find mine in the for sale section though so I think you took the right route.

Never buy used covers unless you know they are fairly new, great deal and match your car. They are old and will fall apart.
