I got some Kenwood 4" components for the dash, i plan on putting the tweeters on the opposite sides of the mirrors. I'll let you know how it turns out. I went with the components because I have no door speaker holes .

i would not recomend using the door speakers for lows man. unless you got high dollar speakers in your door its gonna sound like ****. ide use them for the mid-range speakers. get a pair of satelite tweeters for your highs and if your gonna be building a system in ur car u are gonna need a crossover for sure. at least thats my opinion.....i could be wrong

3-way component set in my '91
I went with a 4" in the dash, a 1"carbon tweeter on the dash in the corner by the door and an oversized 6-1/2" in the door driven through a Focal 3-way passive crossover, sounds awsome!
The deck I have can switch in a hi-pass filter to all of the 4 channels and then output the bass to a separate sub (switchable frequency/phase and level), so as soon as Christmas is over the plan is to build a 10" sub into the rear spare tire area
