Wouldn't mind knowing myself, actually. Looks more blood-red than factory, doesnt it? Beautiful colour.

 

Due to variances in monitor color calibration your never going to be able to get the correct answer online, every response you get will just be a guess based on what they think they see on their monitor. FWIW - It looks nice on my monitor(s) too, but it looks different on the LCD vs the CRT.

Do you have any options to try and track down and contact the owner?

Might try emailing the guys over at http://www.craftcompany.jp/ although I think you might need a translator unless you speak the language.

 

The dark lighting of the scene also makes the color darker.
The question only can be answered by the painter and owner!

my one looks exactly like this. and its the Vintage Red . But as DrKillJoy said, the monitor can give different variations on the colours

 

looks like freshly painted VR in the shade. I think a lot of you are used to seeing a faded VR that takes a more "pinkish" tone, but like said its hard to tell on the computer.

Also could be renaissance red, which is a mkiv supra color btw.

 

The paint of my one is totally new. i think its just non faded VR
