Question What is the best way to prep an engine bay for a fresh coat of paint?

I am going to give my engine bay a fresh coat of paint before I throw the engine back in, what is the best way to prep it for new paint that I had put into a aerosol can for me.
Any ideas or advise?
Thanks

Scrub it down REALLY good with some simple green or other degreaser.. Use a scouring pad. Rinse thouroughly. Then soak a rag in denatured alcohol and wipe down the entire bay.. You're good to go after that. I did mine while the engine was out and it's the nest mod I ever did.

Portland, did you read about our meet we're having in salem and woodburn? Seems like a hell of a ride when you're done, you should bring it.
