I was hoping all you other RX-7 owners could chime in on the audio subject, which tends to be rather subjective as it turns out. As I was replacing the door handle of my FC, I watched my front speaker literally disintegrate in front of my eyes. Mind you, the stereo has not worked since I purchased the car, but it is something I plan on replacing within the next few months to dampen the dash rattles and make long rides more enjoyable. Anyway, I have only replaced speakers in one car, and while the experience was tolerable, I found them to be rather unbalanced. What I'm looking for is recommendations for well-balanced speakers in the $50-100 dollar range. My past experience was that of a Sony Xplod set that managed to pierce my ears with loud, tinny highs and some muddy excuse for lows/midrange. They had the most distorted bass I'd ever heard, regardless of how I configured the custom EQ and balance. So RX-7 owners, especially FC owners, what have you had luck with?
