Welding UniBody Construction for Stiffer Frame..

I am about to take on this Project of stiffening my FC3S GTUs..From what i have learned i think i am gonna spot weld in between every stock weld. Also probably Weld in a rear strut bar.One solid piece of 1.5 inch thick Aluminum Bar right next to the shock towers...Rear Autopower Roll cage Welded in and some tack welds to the Frame and Seam weld some areas..Any help and information would be helpful..
Anyone done this before on their FC??

oh i have a ARC welder and gonna have a MIG kit soon for it..Is this the Welder i should be using?

Well i learned Basicaly MIG welding is performed
Just like ARC welding..
But uses a sheilding gas to Keep Oxygen away from the heated surface.I guess it makes cleaner welds.(less splatter mabey)?
ARC welding uses a FLUX core wire without sheilding gas..
Oh yea Q's
How would i weld aluminum to the steel on the frame any questions??
I think mabey a certian Flux would work??or should i MIG weld it?
Anybody?
