Question Ways to install aftermarket headunit into a bose car

I've searched, and read a whole lot of different opinions. I have a Pioneer Premier DEH- P630 headunit. I want to install it into my 93 touring.
Should I buy the harness from crutchfield? Can I get the harness anywhere else?
I have an amp I could use, how hard would it be to run new wires for the door speakers, and keep the bose tube.
Any help is appreciated.

hi pcola
yes, get that wireing harness from somewhere. there are so many, and they are all differentiated by slight variations in the part number so its easy to get the wrong one. my advice is to take your stock deck out, and look at the two harnesses you're going to need to plug into. then go to bet buy or circuit city so you can have an analytical look/ varify the part # with the instore guide. then just plug the harness into the factory ones and crimp your premier wires to the coresponding color coded ones.
it is not hard to wire the door speakers. i assume the door speakers will be aftermarket and alot stronger then the bose ones because if you wire an external amp to any of the stock speakers, they will cycle on and off due to much overpowering. so, just hook up your amp, dont forget to run the rca cable on the opposite side of the car as your power cable, and just wire the new door speakers through that little rubber flex loom that connects the other door wires to the door.
with tuneing, wireing the amp, installing deck, and running all the wires set aside the good part of 1 day.
yes, you can keep the bass wave acoustic tube. any more questions....?
