Had this on my RX-8. Loved it, I had all the modules. Remote start, automatic roll up if the windows are down, backup alarm, I had all the bells and whistles. Make sure you get it installed by a well known shop so you don't run into problems. I haven't looked into any for the FD, but I'm sure this alarm is still one of the best out there unless you want GPS tracking and everything

Clifford and Viper are owned by DEI and are now the exact same product. The only differences is the name and the color of the romote cover (blue = viper, black = hornet or something, carbon = clifford).
You want to find a DEI certified installer. Best Buy, cuircut city, etc do not send the installers to snake pit training. Tweeters is a better chain but you are better off calling DEI and finding a local shop that has a DEI trained tech or ask them if they have a DEI trained and DEI "certified" tech.
I have a 791XV in my truck installed dec of last year and i still go back weekly because of the alarm constantly going off. i've allready asked for a install refund. they will swap out my new spare and if that doesnt solve it then I get a refund but I may have to request a refund for the electrical issued I beleive they caused.

dont know if its a myth or not
but the viper 791 has a better range for the pager than the clifford rsx 3.5
i have the 3.5 on my daily driver and the range simply sucks ***. even with the reciever antenna in the open. my buddies viper 791 has more than double the range of my clifford.
weird...
