My 90 vert is missing the speakers behind the seats, the wiring is there but no speakers, Any sugestions as to what I should put in there ?

 

How much are you looking to spend on the speakers? There are some great speakers avalable through the shop I work at (Strictly Mobile) for really good prices, and we have the "Random stuff lying around the shop Special" items as well. I'd love to make some suggestions.

 

Thanks for the offer, I guess I should have been more specific in my inquiry.Can I just put regular speakers there or are they supposed to be woofers ? I had an old 4" round speaker lying around and when I hooked it up all I got were very low frequencies, I am not sure if the factory unit has a crossover or if I had a bad speaker.

Those speakers run through a separtate amp and are a sorry excuse for woofers. I tried some regular speakers and they really didn't sound too good. If you're like me wanting to keep the system original, I'm sure you can find some replacement speakers at one of the used Mazda parts places or someone will have them laying around.

 

My 88 has no provisions for rear speakers- is this something that hapened later on in the model run?
