I'm looking for a place online that I can buy the 99 front bumper, but there's a catch, I want it without the license plate box. I don't think they ever came from mazda like that so I assume a replica is my only option, or could it be shaved off the factory piece?

I'll accept a replica as long as it's very high quality, please post any links you may have.

PEtitt racing sells a fiberglass version with no license frame,

SOme have shaved it, but its so not worth the cost.

Check this out. Its an aftermarket piece. I like that this one has the lower lip molded on and that the front mouth is larger than the stock one.

Nice front end , looks like fiberglass also....When will someone in Japan decide to make a mold (99 w/o plate holder )of one out of urathane . Its kinda a no brainer

 

No ****, I'd have it in a heartbeat. I'm kind of warry of the fiberglass replicas.

RotaryExtreme was the only one who was going to do this... unfortunately he wanted all the money up front before he made the part, and nobody (understandably) was going to go for that.

I'd even settle (or even prefer) one done in that new, flexible hybrid fiberglass that C-West and INGS are using... someone just needs to find the resin.

 

if you dont know... i am referring to the 99 spec bumper with lower lip molded on..because that bumper isn't made by pettit
