I'm looking at some used high-end components and think if it'd be a good idea.

Speakers should be a no-no, right? Since the speaker cone can age and lose it's stiffness (not sure if that's the word), the sound quality could have already changed to worse.

Poweramp, this is OK, I think. If the brand is high quality, like McIntosh, then all the parts inside should be very durable. This could be the best deal.

Fronts. I'm not sure about this. We're using CDs a lot these days and the CD drives do not last forever.

What do you guys thinks or experiences? I'm mainly after McIntosh amp and thinking about its front CD player too. Still a lot of money even used, so I want to make informed decision.
