Upgrading Sound System- Suggestions?

So Im wanting to do a few ugprades from the stock sound system in my car. I want to upgrade the following:
Touch Screen Head Unit
New Front Kicker Speakers
12 in sub in the trunk
Kicker kx 400 watt amp for the sub

So my questions are the following:
Where should I run the wires through for the power to the 400 watt amp for the sub?

Is there anything I should be cautious of or know before changing the stock system? I was told that it can get hectic.

For an amp that big it's best to get the constant directly from the battery.

If you've got a Touring/PEP with BOSE, you're right. It's gonna be more involved than a car without that stuff. Each stock Bose speaker has it's own amp for starters, then you're gonna need an adapter for your new head unit, since BOSE works at 1ohm or some ****..

Here's some reading for ya.
