I see what youre saying, but I ended up going with these lamps, using the H4 both sides, as I struggled to find any lamp, small enough to work, yet at a sensible price.

I could have got the PIAA lights, as used with the KS, but these were about £100 ($150 for the pair)

A++ those lights look like they are going to turn out bad ass. You got some one doing the headlight shrouds and are able to make more? It looks like I might have to pic up a set from you if they are affordable of course. Nice work well worth the time

Yes, I have someone to make the fibreglass shrouds, that's where I did the pricing wrong, I under(guessed) how much they were. But they will be thicker than the original KnightSports ones, which were very thin.
I will get some pictures up of my Knightsports and the new set, to see how mine are better! :)

I will do the first 3 sets at $400 as I said, but might have to go up to $420 after, so I'm not losing money.
Will try and get an idea of postage on Monday too! :icon_tup:

Sorry if this is a silly question but can we still adjust the lights with this set-up not to blind oncoming traffic? In my country and I believe in most countries to pass TUV/smog/traffic registration test or whatever you call it, they put a machine infront of the lights which measures the height and width of the light/beam and its a straight fail if its not right.

Adjustment- yes, you still have the original winder which gives you up and down adjustment on the open/close. The Lamps are held in by small bolts, so you can swivel them to a certain degree

Don't forget these are smaller than the original, so they will be 'sleepy' as such, not coming up as far as the originals....look much better :)

I would also like to see some pics of them lit up at night. To see the light pattern and also to see how bright they really are.

Charlie - nice work on these. The lowered height of the popup will look very good I think.

Now here is the however part. You need to find a way to use much better lighting than what you are using. At a minimum you need halogen "projector" units for the lows. This will give you improved lighting with a proper cutoff and it will outshine what you are using be a large factor.

The best solution would be HID projector units for the low beams. These will improve the stock lighting by over 300% and you'll have some happy customers. Why do this if the lighting isn't going to be very good?

There are many projector options for your consideration here and they are all DOT/ECE legal. For example, if you went with the projector halogens:

They would give you a great cutoff and they are only $65 per light. The ultimate for the low beams would be these:

The lighting would be awesome but they are around $500 per light.

I think once you take pics of the ones you are using you will see what I mean by needing to improve the light output. Yours won't be nearly as bright as the above and they will splash light all over the road.
