turbo timer and alarm

turbo timer and alarm

okay i included this in one of my old topics but didnt get much info. i now know what alarm and turbo timer i want but dont know if they can go together or if anyone can install it. here is the gear. HKS type 1 turbo timer and viper ES600 alarm. i want both of these but the guy at circuit city didnt know how to install. he wasnt the installer just a sales man. i may also check out good guys. let me know guys. i really need an alarm and
turbo timer.

yes they can go together, all DEI alarms (like Viper/Python/Sidewinder etc) can be armed while the ignition is on, you just have to hold the remote for more than 1.5 seconds.

If you get a better than average installer he can also wire up a simple relay that bypasses the alarms ignition input while the turbo timer is on.

Wont the alarm go off b/c the engine is vibrating the car and drawing current?

most better quality alarms do not have a current draw circuit (which monitors change in current draw anyway, not consistent current draw) and the engines should not be setting off a shock/motion sensor unless there are set incorrectly.

My installer put a relay to make my blitz turbo timer work with the clifford alarm.
