Trunk measurements for FC

just bought a 90 rx7 and i wanted to put 2 12's and a 1000amp i already own into it but the box is too tall. Anyone know of any boxes that i can buy from online stores or places like circuiit city or best buy, or just the measurements of the trunk. Also, what's the process to hooking up an amp to a stock readio (tape deck, no CD, with power antenna)

and let me introduce myself...i'm steven, 18yrs old from va beach, va...heres sum pics

nice car, not to wild about gold but it looks to be in great shape what kind of mileage and options does it have? Auto or stick? I know that has nothing to do with your question i'm just interested. I have 2 10s in a q-logic bandpass box in the back of my 7 its almost to big to fit i'll go measure for you in a bit and tell you what measurments will fit. As for the stock radio being hooked up to the amp its not generally recomended since you will have to tap into the speaker wires and run what they call line level input into your amp, assuming that your amp has these inputs. Your best bet in my opinion would be to get a aftermarket head unit with pre-amp outputs

adjustable suspension
very good 85000 miles, mostly freeway.

Possibly you could just make one yourself. Given you have a saw and a drill. Go to lowes, get some wood, a tape measure, a pencil, ruler, screws, poxy, and I dunno paint it!

Its not to aweful hard to make a box for yourself.

welcome to the club, I have the same car, gold, 90 gxl auto with 8XK!
anyway, if you face the box backwards, so the subs fire to the spare tire, a basic box from best buy should work fine, can't remember the brand though. I assume your amp does not have line level inputs? If this is the case You can get an "Adjustable Line Output Converter" that simply splices into the rear speaker lines and it is a simple box that takes the line level signal into itself and has an rca output on it which then connects to your amp. I just used one on a friends civic I got it at a local stereo shop it was a Rockford Fosgate model and was only 20 bux and works great.
Might want to look into ditchin that auto tranny, it's the first thing I did to mine and it was well worth it, best mod ever.
good luck with the car man.

I would suggest against any box from best buy, most of them there are made out of that particle board crap. If you make one yourself, make sure you make it out of 3/4"-1" MDF (medium density fiber) that you can get at home depot or menards. Also make sure the box is the right dimensions WITH the sub in the box, NOT before the sub is in the box, thats also something you can't so if you buy a box at best buy or circuit city.
