Which true HID kit is best??
#29
European lights have a sharper cut off, so the beam pattern would be less blinding with the installation of an aftermarket HID kit. They're pretty hard to get a hold of since since they would most likely have to be imported into the U.S.

Euro spec glass lenses are designed for right hand drive countries - the spread and illumination to the side on a US highway would put the beam directly into oncoming traffic. Im sure they can be adjusted a little, but I wonder how much/if enough. I know when we put eurospec mirrors on a Miata once, they were all but useless, as they didnt adjust enough in the right directions, as they are designed to reflect into the passenger seat

but that link says the exact same thing I did regarding the spread/pattern..
Anything should be an improvement over the plastic US stock ones, but the pattern will technically not be suited for US roads. Not to mention they are not DOT approved. And will glare at oncoming drivers.
....and if they werent so damn much money, I'd have them in my car right now.. ;P

Not all European countries have RHD. For this reason, there's a subset of Ecode lights. You just need to get a set that is not from a RHD country. That glare you are talking about is the kick up in the beam pattern; it's on the wrong side, for U.S. drivers anyway. So on a two lane road, instead of lighting up the right side of the road, it's focusing light in the other direction--into an oncoming driver's eyes.

No it's not Turbo'd
Actually most of europe is LHD... only GB with their "Antiquated Ways" Is RHD... and personally I think it's starnge that the US Inheried LHD, and stayed with Imperial Measurments, but that's the US, we like this but we won't adopt that ! I guess just the opposite is true for Japan, with RHD, and Metric.. We're polar Opposites !!
