trim issues

The plastic trim around the center console in my 1986 N/A rx-7 is cracked. I accidentally cracked it when I was trying to get the trim to come off so I could mess with the radio since it likes to not work. I am considering replacing it and need to know how I can get out the current radio and or the trim around the console so I can replace that also. I just had an epiphany....it doesn't really matter if I crack the trim anymore since I plan to replace it anyways, but the proper way to take it off without breaking it further would be quite helpful. I also have a problem with the antennae. It will go up, but get stuck and the motor keeps trying to push it up wich results in a loud knocking. And when I turn off the radio, the antennae will not come back down. I have to shove it back in. Damn the things going wrong on this car...any help with these problems would be appreciated immensely. Thanks.

Pull out the heater grills. Behind them are two screws going up through the trim into a bracket. The screws are about 1.5" appart, and right in the middle. Also, pull the ash tray out. Behind it are two more screws. Pry the shift boot bezl up with a slotted screw driver, and your ready to go.

No problem. I nearly did the same my self. You should also check out fc3s.org. He has the entire FC factory service manual available for free in adobe acrobat format. I love it. Since it's acrobat, you can even zoom in on the diagrams if neccessary.
