I've heard so many say that they don't like the 88's because they prefer the body colored molding. I personally prefer the "black belt." I think it sets off the red better.

I will never understand why Mazda put a white name decal on the front of the 88C (I changed mine to black.)

i wanted to buy an fc to keep my fd company but the wife said if i did that somebody else would be keeping her company.... now what color do i want the fc in???

When I purchased it, the dealer only had access to red or black. I had seen a blue one earlier in that year (88), but it didn't appeal.

I chose red for two reasons... I knew black would be a pain to upkeep, and I thought the red showed the lines of the convertible better.

When I purchased the 94, I actually wanted a black one, but the pickens were slim.

All the same, I am happy with two reds.

 

Near Columbia, but I am almost never home.
