Which of these subwoofers should I get?

Now that ive secured a job at Best Buy, I can pick up some subs for a good price to replace my old cheapo kenwood tornados.

Im not 100% sure what kind of box im going to build yet, be it sealed, ported or bandpass, but I will build it myself.

These are the ones I was looking at:
This 12" power akoustic sub:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....1&type=product

and this 12" Rockford fosgate. Both are DVC.

And id probably run them off of this Rockford amp:

Im mainly torn between 10's or 12's, and what type of box to use.

Any suggestions? Its going into a 03' Blazer Xtreme.

Why those subs? Rockford fosgate does not have a good reputation, especially in their punch series. I am putting jl subs in my rx7, two 12" w6's, thats the way to go but i know best buy doesnt carry jl so its your call, but I have heard two 12" w7s in an eclipse and it shook the three cars next to it. Its crazy I say jl all the way, lol but thats not an option

Dude i'm running two Stage 2 Punch subs and they shake the hairs on my head... I don't know if it's just the shape of the hatch or what but they make tons of bass..
Only a 500 watt amp too..

No Alpines, or JLs. If They had JL's I wouldnt even need to ask this question. I had those to pick from because those are the ones I get discounts on. Practically half off.

Any sub can shake the hairs on your head along with cars parked next to you. What seperates the men from the boys is being loud (excursion) without distortion.

I have a single 12" sub in my home theater that will shake most of downstairs. Why do people insist they need so many drivers to make good sound inside a small car?

I can't comment on the other brands here as I haven't used them but I have a single 10" JL that is about 10 years old and has been in several enclosures in different cars. It's been bulletproof and still sounds better than the majority of stuff out there at any price.

Get the power acustik in the correct box they sound great and pound. I built an ABC enclosure for one 10" fubar power acustik and it out pounds 12's. It all depends on the enclosure you put them in.

Do it once, do it right: JL 12" W6, and ONLY because the W6 takes significantly less enclosure space, yet is built on the same technology as the w7 series. The 12" W7 would require you to pretty much lose your trunk...
