Teach me paint care 101...

I know absolutely nothing about paint care, cleaning, waxing, etc....other then the painfully obvious. I'm just looking for some advice...

I've read the stickies, I don't remember anything about paint care. Sorry for making this thread if it's in there...

no one beats www.autopia.org when it comes to detailing!!!! well first click LEARN on the top first. read as much as possible. then start buying your supplies. and the next thing you know. youre addicted to making your car shine like a mirror. spend ~300-350 (trust me ITS WELL WORTH IT!!!!! yes i know, you probably think im crazy for spending a few hundred on detailing supplies. thats what i thought at first. but trust me. its worth it) on detailing supplies and youre good to go. youre going to need a claybar, car washing shampoo (gold class by meguiars is pretty good), 2 polish compounds lik Poorboys SSR 2.5 and 2.0, a PC7424 kit (check out the kit at www.topoftheline.com ,its a pretty good deal), an extra cutting pad, try a lake country durastrand (which is also av. at TOTL IIRC), the Klasse twins (Sealant Glaze and All-in-one . do a search in autopia), and maybe a topper wax if you want. well just go read autopia already

kuroi FD- when you say dish soap, i hope you dont mean any kind of dish soap. only the original blue Dawn dish soap will work since others like Joy can harm the paint.
