Tan -> Black interior?

How fesable is it to swith from Tan Leather interior to the Black leather? Not only the seat but the entire cockpit?

Just wondering...

I might just do the black leather seats if its too expensive. How do you guys think it will look?

I have done the switch, and if you plan on doing it by buying parts used (or some new), it will take time and money. Counting the seats (which were in GOOD condition - thanks DClin), it probably cost me around $1500-2000, and I got another GOOD deal on the carpet from a friend, which could cost you a good bit. All together, it probably took around 7 or 8 months to piece things together. I would just watch constantly and try to pick up what I could whenever I could. The hardest things to find though are the sunroof accesories (headliner, sunroof liner, and dome light w/ sunroof controls), primarily cause there were not THAT many black leather cars out there. Seats are a little easier since people get rid of them when they get racing seats. As far as the outcome, I am very happy with my patience and the turnout of the interior. If I had good tan, I probably would not have done it though. But my seats and most of my tan was messed up bad, so that was my main reason.

If you aernt a perfectionist spray the headliner and sunroof components black with vinyl spray then remove all the interior crap minus the dash and pay an upholsterer to recarpet you car, can usually be done for 400 or 450 bucks for the carpet and its usally redone with a better and stroner lasting carpet then stock. then just do what the other guy just said whatch and wait and you should find some deals. total costs im not sure depends on what kindo deals you can seal, but time wise if you kick ayas on it. It should not take more then two days three at max figuring the interior guy is mobile and can come to your house to do it.

Obviously the most easiest thing to do is to find someone who wants to go Black->Tan and switch with them..if both of your stuff is equal shape, then you're all set..but if one of your sets is in inferior shape, than perhaps some money exchange to augment the difference..

If that doesn't seem worthwhile waiting..you most certainly can wait and pick up piece by piece..
