I know this must be an old question but i have searched and come up with nothing.

I have just rebuilt my T2 and the Wipers/Lights seem to be playing up.

Whats happening is with the lights, they ither dont work at all or work for a bit then stop and drop to side light, the Wipers will park when they feel like it and some times the Intermitant wiper wont work at all (some times the wipers with stick or judder whilst on).

I have checked all the Plugs and conections and have run out of options. I am Guessing with being stood for a while the conections on the switches/Wiper motor must be dirty causing it to only get conection every so often?

Have any of you come across anything like this before.

Sounds like the lightswitch and or harness is burning out or loose (there are two connectors, one at ethe switch and one in the dash above the fuse box).

For the wiper, it sounds like the relay inside the wiper switch is shot. There are more than a couple sites that tell you how to repair it. This is one of the better ones:
