Question Which system is betta

yo im plannin on gettin an alpine system of a jl system for my car...which system produces betta sound and is worth getting

system = heavy

weight = bad

just get all new speakers with a 4channel amp to make it sound nice. no need to be dumping all kinds of money into subs for an RX7, thats useless. if anything just get one 8" sub, thats all the bass you need inside such a small area.

Wow, a voice of reason in a "three 12-inch subs in a small hatch" world of insanity!

Scorpion41: Your question is like "Which ice cream is better, Breyer's Vanilla or Haagendaas Vanilla?

First of all, loudspeaker preferences are very individual. I have heard JL subs and can tell you that they are some of the must musical subs out there. But most people don't really want that, they want the inaccurate sloppy slam of a high Q sub for rap playing, for example.

If you really want to be spartan on weight, and still have a system, forgo the extra amp. Modern head units produce plenty of relatively clean power to sound good at non-ear blasting SPLs.
