i finally got my rx7 running so now i want to fix some minor ****. does anyone know where the motor for the sunroof is located and where i can get a motor cause i think the one i have is busted?

 

It is located underneath the headliner at the back of the sunroof. You'll see it when you take the headliner off. It's held in by 4(IIRC) bolts/nuts(don't remember)

Very easy to remove, I just sold one to a customer not that long ago, took me all of 5 minutes to remove.

 

w00t do u know where i can get one for cheap. anywhere on the internet? or i see that you are in NJ and im in Philly, do u know of any shops near by that will sell one? but i have a question, when i press the button it sounds like the motor is running it just wont move back. what else could be the problem?

 

I sold mine off my parts car. Your best bet is to look in the forsale section for someone parting out there car and buy it from them.

The sunroof could just be off the tracks, or the gears on the sunroof motor are stripped. You'll have to take off your headliner and remove the motor and take a look.

 

I can keep an eye out in the local junkyards up here. They
love me and sell me **** for dirt cheap. If I find one I'll pass
it on to you for price and packaging/shipping.
