Arrow Suggestions for replacing current audio components

In my FD at the moment I have an Alpine head unit and stock speakers ('94 R2). I would like to replace my Alpine unit with something that looks classy, fitting the interior better than the kaledescope of neon color that comes out of that thing. Are there any head units out there that are all black and have leds that match the red of the FD's lighting?

Also interested in speaker upgrades that sound great and aren't fancy looking.

Im not sure how much money you want to spend but heres two that I have picked out for my car.

JVC Arsenal KD-AR5500 $449 (crutchfield). Im planning on buying this for my car in the near future. You can adjust the color to match your FDs interior.

Clarion ProAudio DXZ845MC. $279 (crutchfield). My brother has this one on his FC. Its a pretty good headunit. You can even "rip" your CDs and store them on the headunit. I have an older model (DXZ645MP) in my FD. I love the rotary **** for the volume. Its much better/faster than pressing a volume button. You can also adjust the colors to match your interior. This head unit matches the FCs interior more since their interior lights are more orange than red but it doesnt look too bad at night.

You can also look at Nakamichi headunits. These are higher end units. I'd attach a picture but their website uses flash and I cant link to the picture directly. These dont play MP3s. Only audio CDs. The colors match the interior as well.

Great, thanks for the info wan and pic Railgun, much appreciated.

Money really isn't an object with the 7, if I don't have it I'll save up for it. That JVC arsenal looks like it would match the interior lighting almost perfectly.

Railgun, does that Sony unit "fold out" with another panel and CD insert?

It does flip down, but only to a CD slot. It wasn't the best thing for it as there are no buttons what so ever, only two remotes. At the time, I thought it would work out well, and for the car that it was in before this one it did. It's kind of a pain, but I love how it fits with everything else.
