subwoofer box or not?
Do you think i will get better sound quality with a enclosed subwoofer box, or would i get they same mabye a little less sound quality from just fitting them into place on my rear dash? BTW i'm doing this in a saturn (i have no rear speakers so the holes exsist, and i was just going to enlarger them to fit the subs i might buy).

The enclosed box will give you better sound everytime. A sealed enclosure will give you nice tight bass, ported or bandpass will give the traditional thumpin' bass. You will lose some sound quality and volume by just putting them in the rear deck, and not all speakers will work with that setup. The rear deck on most cars isn't strong enough to mount a sub without causing alot of vibration. It all comes down to how much effort you want to put into it and what type of music and at what volume you like to listen to it.

i've changed my mind all together, i'm just going to get a compent system that fits into all my speaker holes. I dont' plan on keeping the saturn for too much longer so i dont' want to rip out all that stuff.
