sub location in fc's
sub location in fc's
I want to get either one or a pair of subs in my 90 fc, but i'm not sure where i want them mounted... any ideas? i'm kind of against the whole between the shock towers thing... i'm THINKING maybe in the storage bins maybe... any other ideas?
I've found a rear-firing setup behind the shock towers (cone only a couple inches from the spare tire) to yield the best SPL numbers, and decent SQ. If I were you, I'd get one or two efficient subs, built/purchase the correct type/size box for them, and then find a location by trial-and-error listening. My car audio improved by leaps and bounds simply because I tried many different configurations, and found the one most to my liking.
If I remember right, people tended to think that the storage bins were a poor location acoustically (spl- and sq-wise). A search will tell you for sure. This question has come up before.
