Can anyone confirm for me that the stock carpet material is nylon?

I'd love to get some like yours, and probably will some day when I can afford it , unless its under $400, but right now I just want to get some carpet dye (not paint, but actual mill style dye), but the dye i'm looking at only works on nylon and wool, but it won't work or polyester. I don't want to just buy someones black carpet because i do want to upgrade to something better down the road.
