Stock Amps = high power input?
I've an '87 base model with the clarion receiver, tape player, and 9-band EQ. Are the inputs on the stock amps high power, or will I need to wire around them when I replace the non-functioning system. My LeBaron GTS had stock amps, and Car Toys just plugged the upgraded deck right into the stock harness and left the rest alone. On the Rex they are saying re-wire. They don't have the deck I want, so I was going to install it myself (I've done other cars). If it is a re-wire situation, do I just bypass the amps? Thanks.

You must bypass the amps. Generally it is easiest at the amps.
The stock system (with the exception of the door sub amp if equipped) is designed for a less than 15 watt RMS feed.
