Stereo System with my already poor energy system?
Stereo System with my already poor energy system?
I already have enough issues with my idle lope and my alternator not getting enough juice in constant to my Optima. I have to have the A/C compressor on if I'm at a stop light too long.
What is a new set of speakers, a four-channel amp and a sub going to do to me?
Audio gurus chime in if you have any of these issues you've worked around.

Well, fix the electrical problems first. If you're not getting enough alternator output, you'll have ignition issues (ie- not enough spark) and other bad stuff like the ECU just turning off. IMO, fix that before you go drawing 500 Watts and throwing a few subs in there.

I should rephrase.
Assuming my idle problem won't ever be completely fixed, as I am street ported, *will* there be issues installing the components I mentioned above with a street port idle?

I'm thinking about selling my system for the FD.
-Phoenix Gold ti500.4 amp
-Image dynamics v.2 d2 sub
-Diamond Audio hex s500 components
Let me know if you are interested, it is barely even used.

That's a nice system you've got there, threadjacker
I have an IDQ 12" and two PG amps in my Subaru right now, so I know they sound good.
What do you want for the setup, why are you selling it, and define "barely used".
