steering wheel question

hey im wanting to put a miata steering wheel in my car, the nardi one out of the 2002. i think i have read on here that they will fit a fd with some minor mods. i have found one but it doesnt include the airbag and what im wondering is will the airbag out of a 2002 protege fit in that wheel, i have compared pics and they look identical to me but i still dont know. also does anyone know about the airbag plug on that aigbag, what i will have to do to it to make it work on my car.

hey, i put a miata nardi on my car and it's pretty straight forward. for the clock spring you should drill two holes on the wheel so it lines up with the pin on the clock spring. i just ripped the clock spring plastic part off (not smart), but it still catches so my blinkers work fine...lol. as for wires. i think you have to cut the plugs off the original wheel and just attach them to the nardi one (it has two wires). doesn't matter which.

i just reread my description and it sucked. i'm tired. there's a very good write up somewhere floating around.

Here's what it looks like.............

Not to shabby if you ask me!

Except this wheel came out of a 2002 Spirit R, not a Miata.
