Steering Column gauge pod

Well I like messing around with fiberglass and making stuff out of it so I decided to make a gauge pod to go on the steering column.
I made one of these for my last fd and really liked it. But in my new one it had the boost gauge over on the a/c panel and I really had a hard time seeing it so I decided to make another.

Here is a pic of it after I got the basic shape with fiberglass mat and then applied the first layer of bondo.

Here it is after all the sanding and glazing putty. I thought I would try somthing new and so I textured it with some texture paint I bought and Im still not sure if I like the outcome. I was looking for a finish more like jayspec's car but it didnt turn out that way. Tell me what you guys think.

It looks out of place with the rest of the panels being smooth.

Smooth it out. I just used a guage holder and attached. Simple, clean, looks rather nice but, I like that you are making your own stuff. I know how much those pre-made things cost. Ouch! Good luck
