Steam Cleaning Engines... Good/Bad?
Anybody done this?
Are there any problems? I've got some grime on mine that just doesn't spray off, and i just can't see spending two days going over it with a toothbrush.
The last car i bought from a dealership had this done and it looked practically new.

I've heard/experienced some horror stories concerning steam cleaning. Not only problems from the intense heat, but high pressure on possible weak hoses, etc. I personally wouldn't have it done.
A fellow in my office just had a Toyota Land Cruiser done...It was done at a detailer who couldn't get it running properly, then a garage couldn't find the problem, then to the dealership which found the problem...3 days.

I've heard the same but i figured:
A. could it be much hotter than what the engine/turbos already produce?
B. We've got no distributer cap to foul up.
Anyone tried it w/ their RX7?
