Spraying my engine bay,,, LIVE!!!

Since all the topics of spraying have been popping up, heres a real treat for everyone. Im currently smack dead in the middle of spraying my engine bay of my FD. Il post pics as i move from step to step.

Strip down the bay of everything

Then strip it down some more and degrease the living hell out of it, and repeat 5 more times (not joking)

Mask off everything


And right now im going to lay some primer!

One question, why didnt you take the engine out?? I just dont see how you can get full coverage with it in there. Good to see you have everything else out like I did though.

I have a SATA minigun, i can get in there past where the OEM paint ends, trust me. Otherwise the engine would have came out

I primered the car yesterday, but then realized i was out of XXX black and so i had to retire early.


im runnin to the paintshop right now to score a half gallon. Stay tuned...

and colored and cleared. X X X black is soo dark the camera cant even get a good shot of it. This pic was taken with 3 100w bulbs firing down on it too!

Im going to open the doors of the garage tomorow and try to get some more light in there. This triple black is wild, sucks the life out lights, haha DARKNESS!
