smoked signal lights: ebay vs others

I'm low on cash and want to get my turn signal lights smoked on my FD. I can't decide between doing it myself with the stock lights, getting these off ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-94...ayphotohosting
or getting the expensive ones off rx7.com for example, like these:
http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fdexterior.html (fd turnlamps - smoke)
The expensive ones just look so good in pics...will the ebay ones or my DIY ones even compare? If you have installed pics of your smoked lights and links to where you got yours I'd appreciate it!

I have done my own smoked signals in the past and now I have the ones on the RX7.com link. Night and day difference (in a good way). The eBay ones looks similar but I'm always afraid that what you see in the pictures is not what you get.

i bought 99 spec ones of ebay and im glad i did, saved a ton of money and they work great. not to mention that the wiring harness was compatable with the us spec cars.

not to hate on anyones product but I actually bought the rx7.com ones and had some problems.

1. had water leak into them which messed up the reflector part
2. had the parking light bulb socket melt....i attribute this to running with my parking lights on a lot though
3. had the "bubble" bulb cover thats inside one of the signal break so that it is rolling around inside the assembly.

I have since removed one of the signals all together until i can open it up to address the issues and get a better seal. Not sure if i will be able to source another bulb socket/harness that melted......anyone know? I really just need the parking light bulb socket

^ wow, definitely not what I expected from 150$ lights. I'll smoke them myself, thanks for the responses.
